When we decided to expand the activities of Specialist
Tackle onto the Internet we agreed that it must be a serious commitment
on our part, not a hobby or a short term project.
We have expended considerable time and effort in planning and producing
this site, even going as far as finding a web development company
run by keen anglers! This level of commitment will continue and
we intend to become the first point of reference on the Internet
for all things angling related in the coming months and years.
We know the importance of customer satisfaction, after all we have
been trading in the 'real world' for ten years now and no business
lasts that long, showing continual and increasing growth in all
areas, if it treats its customer badly. Being both anglers and Internet
users we understand the reluctance that some people feel towards
purchasing over the Internet and have therefore drawn up the following
policies regarding transactions made through this site.

Competitions and Fishy Tails
The Fishy Tails section of our web site is an area where members can submit a story based around their own fishing experiences. There is only one entry per member per month allowed. The winner is awarded a £10.00 online voucher for our site - no cash alternative is available. The Fishy Tails feature of our web site uses a voting system, this is available for members only, the votes however are for the guidance of the judges, they do not represent a position or actual placement. The decision of Specialist Tackle's judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into over a decision.With our Competitions where a question has to be answered a winner will be selected at random from all of the correct answers submitted within the stated running period of the competition. Obviously we make every effort to ensure that the information on our
site is correct, particularly the pricing of our tackle, and we have
undertaken considerable checking in this regard. However, stocking
as many products as we do it is inevitable that at some time a discrepency
will occur. We foresee two possible scenarios and each of these is
dealt with below:
Differences on product pages and shopping

With an e-commerce web site, that is one where you can make a purchase
while online, there is considerable programming required to make
everything work properly, and perhaps more importantly easily, for
the shopper. It is possible that the price quoted on one of our
product description pages will differ from the amount shown when
you review your purchases. For this reason we ask that you check
your 'Keep Net' very carefully before proceeding to order and pay
for your goods. If you do notice a discrepency we suggest that you
remove the item from your 'Keep Net' and ask that you use the Fault
Report form that is linked from that page to tell us about it. We
will investigate immediately and contact you with the results and
confirmation that the error has been corrected.
Incorrect Web Site Pricing
It may happen that we have given our web development company an
incorrect price for an item and whilst the product page and 'Keep
Net' agree, when we check the order we find that the price is wrong.
If we discover that the price on this web site is greater than the
actual price we will proceed with your order but charge you the
correct, and reduced, amount. We will also advise you of this so
that you can reconcile your credit card statement.
If the price on this site is lower than the actual price we will
advise you of this before processing your order. If the revised
price is still acceptable we will ask you to confirm this to us
and we will then despatch your goods. If the revised price is not
acceptable we will remove the relevent item from your order and
despatch any other items which were priced correctly.
It goes without saying that the web site will be immediately amended
to reflect the correct pricing.

If, upon delivery of any item purchased from this site, you find
that the items you ordered do not meet your requirements or match
your expectations we will be happy to exchange them for something
more suitable, provided they are unused and returned to us in original
packaging. In such a situation all postage will be at your cost.
